Job Description

We’re looking for a Writer to join the CD PROJEKT RED team dedicated to crafting the studio’s first-ever original IP and video game, codenamed Project Hadar. We believe the universe we are creating is one bursting with limitless potential, and we want you to help us broaden and utilize it, making sure it not only matches gamers’ high expectations set by past CD PROJEKT RED titles but exceeds them.

In this position you will help to lay foundations to a brand-new project, you will write documentation, craft compelling stories, engaging dialogues, and immersive narrative experiences that will resonate with players worldwide. Key Responsibilities

  • Co-creating new CDPR project.
  • Designing narrative in macro and micro scale.
  • Writing dialogues and scenarios for in-game storytelling.
  • Creating and maintaining narrative documentation related to the game’s world, characters, and overarching story.
  • Supporting narrative content across various game systems.
  • Collaborating with quest designers and cinematic designers to ensure seamless integration of storytelling elements.
  • Helping the design team iterate on narrative delivery techniques to enhance player immersion.

Qualifications

  • Native Polish and very good knowledge of English.
  • Successfully adapted script or published texts (books, short stories, screenplays, etc.).
  • Exceptional writing talent and strong language proficiency.
  • Broad general knowledge and understanding of culture and society.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others.
  • Creativity and a flexible approach to storytelling.
  • Willingness to learn tools and editors used in game development.

Nice to Have
(These skills are not required but will be considered a plus.)

  • Experience working in a creative team.
  • Experience in the video game industry (even if the title is unpublished).

Working mode

In-office in Warsaw, Poland. 
Relocation is required.
