“What Do Your Grandchildren Play?” — A Seniors’ Visit To Our Studio
Video games unite people, no matter their age: that’s what a visit from a group of seniors to our Warsaw headquarters proved!
Have you ever tried to explain to your grandma what a video game or even a pixel is? It’s not always easy to convey the magic and complexity of gaming to someone who didn’t grow up in the digital era, but that’s exactly what we wanted to do when our RED volunteers invited the A.R.T. Foundation (Fundacja A.R.T.), an initiative bringing together Varsovians over 55, to our office.

The event provided a unique opportunity to break down some common stereotypes about gaming. Instead of viewing games as a “waste of time,” the seniors who visited with the A.R.T. Foundation began to understand them as platforms for creativity, problem-solving, and connection. Our RED volunteers explained the basics, introduced gaming mechanics, and highlighted the variety of genres that capture the attention of younger generations.
Towards the end of the day, one of our visitors said, “Now I see my grandson who plays games regularly in a totally different light.” What could be more empowering than that?
