Job Description
In the Franchise and Narrative team we develop ideas, edit and write scripts for all narrative projects that expand stories, worlds and lore of all our games. We work with outsource writers to help their creations be consistent and coherent with our brand. We search for artists, directors and production companies that will perfectly fit our stories and style of our creations. We care that all our projects stay aligned with the whole franchise. As a Writer / Editor in the Franchise and Narrative team, you will be responsible for the edition or co-creation of almost every comic book, children’s book, board game and tv series that will go public and be seen by a world audience.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Writing scripts in English for comic books, tv and movies, but also trailers, teasers, TV commercials, promotional films, and any other story-related materials.
- Brainstorming and pitching ideas with an emphasis on storytelling, providing creative input from conception to completion.
- Providing feedback for narrative and story elements created by outsource writers.
- Developing and supervising pitches, briefs and a number of other assets; creating world bibles of existing and non-existing IPs.
- Keeping the consistency of all our internal and external projects from the lore perspective.
- Cooperating with members of the whole Franchise team and other teams of our studio to ensure consistent communication and quality content.
Qualifications
- Experience in writing and editing comic books, literature, movie scripts, with an emphasis on completed comic book/commercial/film/TV scripts written and edited in your portfolio (must have).
- An appreciation and knowledge of video games, comic books, movies, the industry and popculture as a whole, and current trends and practices.
- Knowledge of all CD PROJEKT RED’s IPs.
- Ability to work in a writer's room to create engaging stories, edit other people’s stories but also working independently to create a well-structured story.
- Knowledge of narration, structure, storytelling and rules of building a drama in comic books, tv and movies.
- The ability to write creatively, come up with ideas for specific briefs, and adapt to change.
- Experience in project management or team coordinating.
- Open minded team worker with ability to defend their ideas and not losing interest when has to develop other people ideas.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet hard deadlines.
- Meticulous and open for iteration, willingness to provide and receive constructive feedback.
- Written and verbal English on at least C1 level.
